First, make sure you have the correct security certificate installed on your device which your IT department should provide you. It is a .cer file. Next you need to install it to your device which is easy. Just put it on your device storage and select it, it will give you a message that the security certificate has been installed. Then soft reset. of course there can be other reasons you cannot sync which may include having the wrong server name, password, etc. but my issues usually revolved around security certificates. I can confirm that active sync is work perfectly on this rom.

I think you misunderstood my issue. Activesync works for me. I am connected to my exchange server and I can send and receive emails. However, the push functionality doesn't seem to work anymore. It used to be that work email would hit my Diamond (or my Touch before that) pretty much at the same time as it hit Outlook on my desktop. Now, it shows up on my Diamond much later. Sometimes 10 minutes later, sometimes 2 hours later.
I have it configured to sync "As items arrive" for both peak and off-peak hours and "Microsoft Direct Push" is on. But I end up manually syncing periodically all day long in order to get my new messages.
