ok that makes sense.... I have an ipod player for my car, and it not only charges from the base, but it reads from the base usb port as welll, and then a line comes out of the cigarette adapter (basically no headphone cable in the top, it charges AND reads music from the bottom)...... if the ipod was dead, the device wouldn't work, because it would try and access the music at the same time as it charged, and constantly shut back off due to low battery. it only worked if it charged a second before reading audio from the usb.
it does sound like a crap design... but I had that problem at first with my 6700, and it turned out to be the charger?? Even with the phone plugged in, while I was talking on it, it would discharge faster than it would charge. Later, I bought one of those 'fast/rapid' chargers... simply cause mine broke, not that I thought it actually made a difference.... but somehow it did?
I noticed the pro showed a slightly lower battery life than the diamond, and I just attributed it to the sliding keyboard....
when I do heavy texting on my 6800 and the orientation is constantly changing, it drained the battery MUCH faster than usual.... I was fairly happy with my 6800, minus the more frequent freezes lately..... so hopefully with a little more memory I'll be able to get just what I need out of this one!
Random question..... do you know where to find the beer pong game that uses the motion detection to toss the ball?
