So-called "corporate greed" is a bit of a misnomer, imo. I don't want to get into a big ethical/economic debate but in a free market, greed shouldn't really be possible. You simply vote with your dollars. If no one is buying the TP, the price will drop, I guarantee it. It is priced at what the market will bear, simple as that. That's how the free market and capitalism works and why it works - a good product value rewards the seller with purchases and a bad value does, or should do, the opposite. But when people are motivated soley by having the latest and greatest, or buy their devices to one-up their cube mate and get "looks," then the system fails people who actually care about petty things like functionality.
And speaking of Apple - most consumer electronics would be lucky to be blessed by Apple. All of their products, like it or not, seem to be designed and built to a higher functional standard. NONE of this BS would ever fly on an Apple-branded product. And this is coming from a long time Apple-hater.
