The only other way it might work is to delete all the Verisign program's registry entries, and then attempt installing again. Or, bite the bullet and hard reset and let the customizations run.
Regardless, download the trial of sMMS and give it a shot. If nothing else you'll have picmail back, and you might even like it more than the Sprint app.

its way better then the sprint app and all yall know it!! its crazy how one guy(someguy lol) and a team of beta testers can write a better app than an entire damn corporation can!
