I don't think that is true. There's people here who have been on SERO for more than 2 years and somebody on the Diamond forum has been on it for 3. Perhaps they won't let you renew your contract after 2 years, but that's completely different from staying on the plan out of contract.
Pretty much the consensus is if you want the FULL REBATES for the new phones, you MAY have to change your plan. Some people have had success keeping old plans and still getting discounts of some sort on the diamond, some bringing it down to the $250 price.
Bottom line is if you pay full price for the phones, you can keep whatever plan you have. This has been confirmed. That's what I plan to do, if I can't get any other discounts.
This is all based off of the experience people had with the Diamond. I am under the impression that the Touch Pro will be very similar.
