Good Luck!
you're right, I missed that. looks like things got pretty heated over there! I am not sure what I am going to do. I hate to pay full price but I'd like to have wifi since my EVDO connection is poor in my office.

Also, are you sure you lose the sero plan after two years?? i was under the assumption that I would be grandfathered in aafter my 2 years were up. That would suck to lose it, by then I might as well just get the latest iphone - no reason really for me to stick with sprint.

Btw, I have the same plan, and it's $42.xx per month.
I don't think that is true. There's people here who have been on SERO for more than 2 years and somebody on the Diamond forum has been on it for 3. Perhaps they won't let you renew your contract after 2 years, but that's completely different from staying on the plan out of contract.
Pretty much the consensus is if you want the FULL REBATES for the new phones, you MAY have to change your plan. Some people have had success keeping old plans and still getting discounts of some sort on the diamond, some bringing it down to the $250 price.
Bottom line is if you pay full price for the phones, you can keep whatever plan you have. This has been confirmed. That's what I plan to do, if I can't get any other discounts.
This is all based off of the experience people had with the Diamond. I am under the impression that the Touch Pro will be very similar.

Re: question about getting the touch pro...

Yeah, that might be. All I know is that Sprint told me that after my 2 years, I cannot sign another SERO contract. I'm pretty sure they told me that after the contract is up, it's done, and you need to sign a real Sprint plan, but that may have been a misunderstanding on the rep's part.

There really isn't any reason for a Sero plan not to be grandfathered (sp?) like any other plan. Once a contract is up, that plan simply goes out of contract. You don't need to sign another contract, although Sprint may try and force one on you. I rarely trust Sprint reps.

That's good news. But I think it is entirely possible that they will stop allowing that at some point. Knowing Sprint, even likely. As long as I can keep my plan out of contract, I don't care if I can't renew it. The lower cost is well worth any rebates available over the course of 2 years.

That's good to hear. Can't beat $50 for 1250 mins and unlimited text. Hell, I'm not even using that many minutes any more. Everything is moving to texts.

Re: question about getting the touch pro...

Yeah, pretty soon no one will be using minutes anymore, and it'll be like $10/mo for 1000 minutes, and $50/mo for unlimited texting. lol

I use, on average, about 225 minutes per month, but several hundred megs of data, and hundreds of texts. $30 well spent every month.

Re: question about getting the touch pro...

i thought they couldnt force you to change plans. the whole "grandfather" thing, i thought was if you have a plan, you have a right to keep that plan as long as you want unless you decide you want to change it.
