First off, I haven't had much luck with hard-coding start menu programs. That's not to say that it can't be done, but simply adding reg entries to a .rgu doesn't seem to do it.

That being said, if you would like to find out what happens to the registry after you make a change, I suggest you use the following programs:

1) Use RegistryDump-PPC to dump the registry before the setting change. It can be downloaded here: http://dillsoft.com/index.cgi?program=RegistryDump-PPC

2) Make the desired setting change

3) Use RegistryDump-PPC to dump the registry again

4) Use Ultracompare Pro (trial) to compare the two reg dumps. Decide what should go into your cab or rgu file, and test it. It can be downloaded here:
