Multitouch on iPhones/iPods is nice, but their entire UI is designed around its use. Small buttons and pinpoint precision aren't an option with capacitive screens. Say goodbye to your stylus. Forget about Transcriber. Better not try to work on anything with too much fine detail.

Don't get me wrong, the iPhone performs well given those hardware limitations, but that is because it was designed that way from the ground up. I don't think a capacitive screen on a WM device would be a good idea at this point. For now, I'll stick with our "squishy" screens.
