All you have to do is wait until it reads connected and then plug it in -directly, will not work on hub usb's- and presto! broadband access.
In theory, as long as you stick to the same browsing habits that you do on the phone, sprint cannot tell whether it is the phone or the pc that is accessing the internet. I have been told that it is the download habits that they look for; that is, download a whole linux distro and you are caught!
Concerning the mms, I just reinstalled the all in one cab and then did the registry edits and ...err... BAM! This time, I did not even bother to try more than once; I just went ahead and did it out right as I had heard that this was a sticking point.
Nevertheless, kudos to Kervin on the best rom now, please someone please tame active sync!!

Are you saying just press connect without the usb plugged in and then plug it in after??? cause I've tried it with the usb unplugged and then plugging it in, and It just sat with an error. Does the error still appear during the broadband connection working??
What reg edits did you do to remove the built in mms after reinstalling???
Also- since the modem dials #777, which is just the power vision connection, it is too hard for them to enforce a way to disable it. Also, you CAN download a whole linux distro

they do not enforce it at all. Because you paid for the power vision service, and it is their responsibility to somehow limit the modem to a pay only option, but as a function of windows and the phone its not worth the effort. so really, download whatever you want, its not your fault and you will not be bothered

I like how fast it is, I was surprised as I expected it to be dial-up speed at most. The pages appear almost instantly.... I'd have to guess the speed is somewhere just below dsl???
