Hello, I'm new to PPC phones and to this forum. I purchased a xv6700 on Ebay and expect to receive it any minute. I very well versed in the use of
computers, troubleshooting, etc. I'm just new to PPC/Smart phones. The only PDA I've used is a
Palm Tungsten E.
My primary use of the xv6700 will be as follows:
1. Basic phone plan through Verizon. No
data plan.
2. Wifi hotspot connectivity for Internet, Email, remote
desktop. (Any suggestions on alternate browsers?)
3. Calenar/Appointment use
4. Installation and use of HandBase
With that in mind, 3 requests:
1. If anyone has any suggestions for me on how to get started--what to do, not to do--how to make things easier, please speak up.
2. Are there
software preinstalled on the XV6700 by Verizon or Windows Mobile 5 that I can safely remove?
3. Are there any tweaks anyone can recommend to improve or increase speed? Browsing/Internet, system/CPU processing, etc. (I'm comfortable using Registry editors if need be.
