If you need a step by step PM me and I'll jot down the exact process but it is really just plug and play. Also make sure you have the advanced network functionally checked on your USB to PC settings. when un checked I could not get to the internet.

On the Vista Network and Sharing page, I show "unidentified network". In the properties of the "unidentified network", it shows "limited connectivity" under Access and "local area connection 2" under connection. This tells me Vista is finding the hardware, but something is blocking the traffic.
This is a new laptop which came preloaded with Norton Internet Security which I haven't used before. The personal firewall was on and I turned it off. The Windows firewall is off. I wish there was some way to turn off all features of Norton Internet Security to see if that is even the problem. I really don't want to uninstall it at this point.
If you have an idea what might be blocking the traffic or what I should change in Norton, please let me know.
I am still confused why BT works and USB doesn't.
