I'm running TomTom 5 stored on my noname 2gb miniSD and it takes 15 to 17 seconds to load to the point of the legal notice screen. (no label on my card, and I don't know how else to determine manufacturer...threw away box/receipt etc)

Now that I think about it, each TomTom setup could be at least slightly different. The first difference is of course the version. The next difference will be the Maps. I'm using Southeast maps.

There is also the differences of added "POI's" as well as "Favorites".

My entire directory labeled "Southeast-Map" (which includes my added "POI's") is 160mb.

The best method will be to test on regular card before moving over to a new card and test again with everything then being equal.

It is interesting to find this discrepancy between speed differences with TomTom now ranges from 6 seconds (mentioned in above post) and my load time of nearly 3 times that.
