Yes, because I set my player, PocketMusic, to behave that way by tapping a checkmark in the checkbox to pause playback on incoming call. But, I presume the music would continue to play if this box were UNchecked, an option I've not tested due to being somewhat incapable of dealing with such an alert while engaged in listening to music(weak mind). Hmm, I wonder, are those annoying alert sounds played through WMP? That'd be typical of how MS WM programs work. For example, when File Explorer opens a JPG file, it uses Pictures & Videos. Possibly you could find a setting in Windows Media Player to make things function as you want.
