Ok, I called to add the new combined voice/data plan for $79.99 and it was a success so far, and the reason seems to be as I was told that the old plans are being phased out. Email is included with this plan as well. It's on the website for those who want more details...
Text and picture messaging is the only catch....unlimited for the same price you are paying now, or just pay for the $5 plan....(which I kept.)
I had the plan added at the end of my billing cycle so that I wouldn't have to pay the prorated charges of having 2 different plans.
Anyway, I'm waiting till the end of my billing cycle to see if it all worked or whether I messed up royally....
