And storage and RAM are NOT the same thing, no matter how much you would like to think they are. The phone's storage is ROM, not RAM, and they cannot be swapped or adjusted. The ROM is WAY too slow to be used as RAM, and they're not interchangeable technologies. This isn't like the early days of WinCE/Pocket PC 2002/2003 where there was no ROM and RAM was used as both storage and system memory so you could allocate what you wanted to either. These days they're separated so there's no risk of losing all your data when the battery dies.
