I think it works better. I wouldn't say it never takes several minutes to connect, but if it is sitting for too long a soft reset does tend to jump start it a bit. I turned off the gps for about an hour and then turned it on upstairs and it connected just fine.

Have you tried a hard reset? If this does not work try to reflash the ROM. Something must have happened in the install. You might dl the file again to be sure.
