Microsoft Live maps has voice recognition. Just click speak and the software analyzes your voice request and there you go. It helps to not have a lot of background noise, but for the price (freeware) it works pretty good and I've not had to make a voice command more than twice to get it to recognize my request. It also has local gas prices as well as the features of Google mapping. Before I believe it was a matter of preference in regards to the visual display of the maps, but I believe that the voice recognition has put Microsft Live in the forefront.
