I am setting up my new HTC TOUCH, and I already installed a 2Gb SD card in it. I assume that is for my photos, videos, ringtones, tunes and the like. My question is this: When downloading an application, I am always prompted about where to put the program files: on the card or on the system.
Is there a generally accepted preference? Does it matter at all?

Thanks!
Rule of thumb is that anything that is displayed on the Today screen (weather apps, tabs apps, etc.) should be installed on the device.

However, my Sprint Touch has so much memory that I have yet to find any issues with installing everything on main memory.
