In my experience, Skype seems to work reasonably well, with a few things to consider:
1. Since we're relying on the phone's processor and 3rd party apps for encoding, audio will not be fantastic (but it is passable)
2. Audio will come out of the speaker. Workarounds: a. use a bluetooth headset (I actually haven't tried this personally, but have heard others say that it works), b. use a wired headset (works great for me).
3. This is not a SIP client, so you can't use it as such. But, if the skype network works for you, you're in good shape.
You can also find SJPhone for PocketPC (do a google search, you'll probably find it), and that works decently for me. there is also The gizmo Project (
http://www.gizmo5.com) and WengoPhone (again, search).
Hope this helps.
