Open Rom Manager and select Flash ClockworkMod recovery.
A dropdown will appear with the Thunderbolt as the only option.
Select it and allow it to flash the recovery image.
Then you will be updated back to the version that came on the phone, but you will still be rooted. Make a backup with ClockworkMod of your current rom first, if you intend to try and keep your data intact while upgrading.
Other options would be to flash a custom rom from XDA.
