The new snapdragon is still based off of the old snapdragon but made with 45nm, not 65nm like the EVO. Additionally, gfx got bumped up from the shitty adreno 200 to adreno 205 which is leaps and bounds better but a little behind as far as the competition. Even the "new" dual core snapdragons (announced last year) are based on this older framework.
Another thing besides having a better screen and better camera, it can also connect to international only CDMA networks.
So no, there is a HUGE difference.

And again, pretty much everything in that second paragraph you listed I couldnt care less about. *shrug* At this point LTE > HSPA and Verizon > AT&T. And ill pass on the Motorola locked bootloaders. No thanks..
