Well i got the epic on this past wednesday and one of the first things I did was set up my email on my yahoo account then went ahead and did my gmail. Since then I have been so caught up with all the things this amazing phone can do I havnt even thought about email. I don't use Yahoo Mail but try opening the app and using the menu key look for "settings", "preferences" or "more". There should be options to let you set the notification tone, vibration, etc. for the app. Good luck.
