It wouldn't brick the device unless he flashed the radio as well. It just wouldn't boot if the wrong OEMDrivers and OEMXIPKernel were used (or more factual, it would probably constantly reboot over and over
).
OP, what is it that you are trying to accomplish with the Alltel ROM? The TP is VGA and TP2 is WVGA. The graphics would be messed up vertically if you used VGA packages.
