There is no difference other then the extra space it takes up if you cab install since you overwrite a few manila files (small amount of space in the scheme of things). A cab just copies things to folders on your phone, just like cooking them in places them in folders on your phone. The only difference I know of as far as cab install / cooking things is when it comes to modules. Modules must be cooked into a ROM and turned into files if you want to cab install it. Since CHT does not use any modules, there should be absolutely no difference in performance.
