EVO No data while roaming | Unable to authenticate your phone VZW Towers |
Recently I have seen my EVO lose it's data connection while roaming and also received the message "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. We are unable to authenticate your phone. Please try again later" while roaming and making a phone call. I would like to compare notes and find out who else has seen this and what maybe possibly be the culprit.
I don't remember encountering this prior to the new 3.29.651.5 release with updated radios/PRI.
This did happen once before and the issue was resolved by calling Sprint and having them reset data services on their end, but the issue was not able to be resolved on my end. ##3282# Reset Data Profile as well as ##786#, Update Profile etc. did not resolve the issue and only caused me to not have a data connection at all even while not roaming as the phone was not able to provision itself.
I would like to know who has seen this issue and know what PRI, Baseband and Wimax radios they are using. Also, whether or not an Airave/Airave2 is in your home and if you have done a NAND restore from a backup.
