Evo Kickstand not covered under sprint equipment and repair service
I just took my phone in to a repair center because the kickstand on my evo would not stay down. After taking it in they refused service because they said it was physical damage. I looked in their brochure and it clearly falls under the "mechanical failure due to wear and tear" but they still would not replace it or order another phone.
I then called sprint and I was on the phone with them for about 3 hours and I finally got someone to send me a phone through advance exchange, but even then they said that I might get charged full price since the repair should have been done at the repair center and did not qualify for an advance exchange.
Even sprint agreed with me on the wear and tear but they said they could not force the repair center to do anything. How is this a good business practice? How can you not enforce someone who handles your customers repairs to repair the phone? Has anyone had any issues?
Just a warning that this might happen to you.
