Are you using plug in headphones or bluetooth?
I think he mentioned in one of his changelogs that audiobooster was "forced" to be active inthe latest ROM's.
I use a BT stereo headset and audiobooster does not work while I'm connected to BT, however, I found out that if I plug in some earbuds, make my changes in AB and unplug them, the settings stick and I can enjoy the enhancements on my BT headphones.
