It says in most ROM threads directly in the beginning that full root is required, UnRevoked's method is not a method of full root. Even some programs tell you that you do not have root access when using UnRevoked...

Give it a shot its not like this is something that took you hours to accomplish and you are throwing it away...I can't see a simple reset taking away your superuser privileges, but I can see files getting erased that are stored on the device. Not the SD!!!
