I was look at xda forums and ran across this

Which seems to me is a simple 1,2,3 process has anybody used it and does it work as simple as 1,2,3 and so easy to do it that a caveman can do it lol. If anybody has any experience in using this program let me know. Before I recommend this to my buddy by the way he has a windows 7 64bit system if that helps. Thank you
Simple root would be the easiest method if it was fool proof.
There seems to be little quirks here and there and some people run into issues.
My newest version of my guide doesn't require a pc (other than to put the files on the storage card). If your friend watches my newest video and reads section 1 & 2 under rooting, he shouldn't have a problem. But please, have him watch the video.
The tutorial is long and intimidating, but once people see the video they see it's actually pretty easy.

Every OTA will break Every Root method.

Ok, that's not entirely true, but it's a very cautious way to approach an OTA sent by Sprint. By now, Sprint and HTC must be aware of what method was used to root the phone. They probably added something to their OTA to make rooting not work anymore.

Your best bet is to always wait a day or two while the developers make a rooted version. That being said, there is a rooted version already. It works fine. It does not break anything. I personally flashed to it myself and tested Nand protection.

Here's the rooted version of today's OTA. -->HERE<--
