Agreed, mostly... granted, it would probably be NICE for HTC to mention on that tutorial that some features may not be available on all carriers, but it's really not their place - your carrier's site is where you should be looking for specific info on the phones they give you.
For example, if you look up the Titan on Telus's website (they call it the
P4000), it lists "text message" support, but doesn't mention picture messages at all. The only indication that it might not is that phones that DO support it specifically list picture-messaging... for example, on the
KRZR, they list "Integrated text and picture messaging"... but you'd have to know to be specifically looking for that omission.
If you do feel like contacting HTC, don't do it in a complaining way... just make the suggestion that it would be really helpful of them to add such a disclaimer for their customers' benefit. Flies and honey, and all that.
Then get medieval on Sprint's ass (and Telus's, and whoever else cripples their phones).
