Re: power button issues on 6.5?

OK, here is my experience and a theory.
I've been on vacation for a week now and have not had to make a single call (or receive one either). My phone has been behaving excellently while I use it on a daily basis to send and receive texts, browse via opera and post to my FB, including uploading photos. I have been using BT for my wireless headset to listen to music and have had not had to soft reset all week. I usually have to SR several times a week. On top of that, I have been getting outstanding battery life (better than 3 days on a single charge)
Everything on my phone is stock, except I am running MightyROM FF. However, my number of SOD's were pretty much the same when I was running the stock sprint 6.5 ROM as well. Mu current radio is the most recent sprint radio.
Now, here's the kicker: I received a phone call today and a short while later I got a SOD. Screen and power button would not respond but the hard keys stayed lit up. I revived my phone with a soft reset and everything was back to normal. I got anothe rphone call a while later and shortly after that, another SOD. Now, thsi is relatively atypical as far as SOD's go for me, as I mentioned earlier, I do not get them that frequently but I do SR often. So, to me, it seems like it is tied to the phone aspect of the software.
Now, heres what I am going to do. I have not used my alternate dialer (phoneEX) since I had my TP1, so I'm going to give it a try. It has a feature which lets me disable the WM dialer and use phonex exclusively as my dialer.
If that works, then maybe we can narrow down the culprit to the phone software.

Note: I have searched and read many of the SOD threads and this seems to be the most relevant one. (thanks to many of you who provided the links within the threads to the most current since searching for SOD and Screen of Death yields so many hits).

So, I'll let everyone know if things work out.

David
