funny this came up... I had this happen to me last night.
I was laying on my bed with my head propped up and have the phone laying on the blanket in front of me... when it was laying on top of the blanket (on it's back) I wasn't able to push any buttons, but the second I picked it up vertical it acted fine. weird!
