This! Higher screen res is great, more spaced out kb is awesome (minus loss of ctrl key but keyboard config makes up for this nicely) but the battery life is amazing compared to the TP1. I got to the point where I had to charge my TP1 daily (every 8 hrs or so) with little use and unless I missed something you couldn't get third party batteries and charge them in the phone. With the TP2 I've been able to last 2 days without a charge on medium use. I went on a trip that used to kill my TP1 battery in 4-6 hrs because it'd jump between roaming/1x/evdo over and over all day and my TP2 batt was at 70% after 8 hours.

Maybe one option will be to wait for June 6th. I know you don't want to get an EVO but the people who do are likely going to be selling their phones and perhaps you can snag a TP2 for cheap.
