Edit. OK. Here is what is really weird. I called my phone about 2 hours ago from my work phone....rings and rings...6700 does nothing. 2 hours later i pop the SD card out and the screen lights up and i receive a text message from 30 mins ago and my phones starts ringing from the call i made to it 2 hours ago. it rang once. and then stopped.
I put my SD card in an 8125 and it works fine and all data is there.

OK. Reformatted SD card to FAT. reinstalled newest sprint ROM. Then did the upgrade to 2.2. All appears to work fine now. And SD card shows up as well.
