I agree with you, some of these ROMs are no different than having a corded phone. I do hate having to keep my phone on the charger all the time just in case i need to run out for 2 hours.
You guys really need to invest in an external charger and a spare battery or two. I have 3 batteries and an external charger and my phone is never attached to a cord.
Or use a lesser rom. I never worry about my battery at all.
