Its hanging up on the sync process and wont confirm the email account.
Here are my settings for my Gmail account:

okay then it says cant connect using these settings "tap settings" to change: "under Proxy settings"
I believe thats what I use its blank, this is what it looks like:
This network connects to the internet: "not checked"
This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet: "not checked"
Proxy Server: "blank"
Any ideas?

I'm nor sure if I've answered your question or not. I've been contact by a few about this lately.
Cricket and email don't mix.
You need to either setup through active sync or use proxycap.
