Trouble with VZW data

I recently got a qwest ppc6700 for about $60 in mint condition and want to use it on vzw as I'm a Vzw agent. I used the helmi 12/17/07 wm6 build to build a custom rom and picked verizon in the drop down menu and also in the ext rom selection. Everything works well on vzw but #777 data. I spent about 1 hour with tech support and we couldn't get the data working. I'm using settings of #777 username:mynum@vzw3g.com and vzw as password. I noticed that the mip settings had a num@sprint and I changed it to mynum@vzw3g.com. Every time I try to dial a connection it says cannot connect for an unknown reason and I know data was working on the phone prior on qwest so its not a defective phone. I had to use the noid ruu as I have bootloader 1.00 on the phone. Also it seems wireless sync is missing from the ext rom. If anyone can help me trouble shoot I'd really appreciate it or if they can build me a rom as I'm a novice at working on a smart phone but great with the software on non OS phones.
