I searched the forums about this, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer. I have installed the 'cleanup' CAB, and will let you know if it works, but it doesn't seem like that will be the problem.

Sprint TP2. Good reception everywhere I go in general.

Running EnergyROM at the moment, but the problem was identical with MightyROM.

When I first turn the phone on, it is fine for a certain variable period of time. Then it will start getting hot like it's doing a lot of work. Even if I do nothing on it except text/call, it eventually starts acting like it's running a ton of background apps, when it is not. When it is cool, battery life acts like it would be about 2 days with minimal usage, which seems to be the norm. When it is hot, I get maybe 6 hours out of it. I tried running a bunch of apps (youtube, opera, WMP, etc) when in 'hot' mode and it seemed to do nothing, so suffice it to say that it is running at max power consumption.

Nothing out of the ordinary is running in the Task Manager. Any ideas on what the heck could be doing this?

Also, this phone has been doing this since a few days after I got it (new). I don't remember if it happened on the stock ROM or not, but I want to say that it did.

Unrelated, but my GPS (google maps and/or weather) is incredibly inaccurate. In general it's about 1-2km off (not even in the big blue circle in google maps). My touch diamond was accurate to within 1m in most cases, what's up with this?
