I don't see why using a car charger would be any different than a regular charger. I use a bt gps receiver in the car with my touch, sometimes driving up to 8 or 9 hours a day. Obviously that would be impossible without charging the battery. I've done this with my 6600, 6700, and now my Touch and have never had battery problems. - sheureka
