Well it depend on if there are any other wireless signals, such as Wifi and Bluetooth, but you are bombarded with that everyday nowadays. Or maybe there are wireless signal going on anyway without your consent since your cellphone company is spying on you on behalf of the government (Sprint GPS case). If you have the proper tool you can measure the power of a specific wireless frequency band being emitted.


I'm sure there are many articles on cellphone health you can search for for better info than here. If you are concerned, don't use Bluetooth headsets and don't put it next to your head, use a wired heatset. Wait 10 years and see if everyone else gets brain tumor.

The GSM phones have a legal limit of outputting 2watt maximum for 850/900 band and 1watt for 1800/1900. By average it's less than that for normal usage though. Certainly less than something like a microwave when it's on.
