It automatically installs cabs to either main memory or internal storage, restores owner information, restores email accounts, runs .reg's or xml's, and copies files from internal storage to a directory on main memory if you want (I use it to copy my rings since they use twice the space when cooked into the ROM - they end up in /windows and /windows/rings). It's a real time saver for me. Compliant just means that the ROM will run SASHIMI on the second boot (the one after the customization). You can also run SASHIMI manually by running SASHIMI.exe from \Internal Storage\SASHIMI\Program\Bin. You can find a pretty detailed thread
here.
