Re: Adios Sprint...
I have been having service issues with them (both the phone itself acting up, and a significant degredating in actual signal caused by the loss of Alltel's towers for roaming). I called in about the HTC touch pro, and they offered me the standard downgrade swap out (Pre, Snap, or Curve), so I went with the pre (or tried to, there was a 'lost or stolen' flag on my account that it took me 3 and a half hours to get removed). After getting the phone swapped out, I spoke with retentions over the poor customer service (3 hours to remove a flag that was put there because of fraudulent claims on my insurance?), and they offered me a $20 recurring credit on my account. I accepted this after asking multiple times (as I had when I swapped phones) if this would change my contract, and they assured me, over and over again that it wouldn't.
A few days after this, I receive an e-mail about changes to my account, and lo and behold, my contract, which should have been ending 9/22/2010 is now ending 1/06/2012. Contract extensions have to be well gone over during the call, and at times, require third party verification, neither of these were done in my case.
I can deal with iffy customer service to get a lower price, but I draw the line at breaking the law so they can get another few points on their commission account.
