What exactly happened? Did you tell them to extend your contract or did it just automatically happen?
I have extended my contract through the phone multiple times. Sometimes the rep would e-mail me a notification saying I have extended my contract, sometimes I would receive a letter stating it, and sometimes I don't get any notification at all.
My best advice is to talk to a rep and explain your issue. Sprint doesn't have the best informed reps, but if you keep asking, you will eventually run into one that can be helpful. As far as the price of the plans go, no one can beat Sprint.
