I dont blame you there. They are trained a little bit on everything, Not a whole lot in one particular area.

Most of them probably hadn't. The TP2 was available online almost a month before most stores even got them in stock to be able to sell.

What most folks here know...is FAR deeper than most Sprint employees are trained to know. So for a PPCGeeker (with some time under their belt) to look at a Sprint Techie can safely assume that the Geeker knows more.

Techs in the store arent s/w programmers, the only tools they are given are a couple of screw drivers and info on how to hard reset devices, and maybe a few spare parts. If an issue cant be fixed with a hard reset its much easier to just grab a phone off of the shelf and replace it. Its also faster when you have a line of people waiting to have their phones fixed.

No they dont need the HSPL. They just use the Signed copy of the ROM
