8. 2nd line uses the imagio with the current plan.
My question is when 3rd line signed a contract for 2years, did that mean data plan must be in tact with that line?

I have done this exact same thing on Verizon. Because I had to have the Touch Pro 2, my son got a cell phone. He thinks its because his 13th birthday has come and teens have cell phones
I had 2 lines on a family plan. I added the 3rd line with the TP2. Once I got and activated the TP2 I called Verizon and had the new TP2 put on my number and my Touch Pro put on the boys number. Then I got the Samsung i730 I ordered from eBay the next day and changed the boys phone from the Touch Pro to the i730 so I didn't have to have a data plan for him.
One thing to think about with Verizon that is different from ALL other CDMA networks is the SERVICE OPTIONS are connected to the device and not the number the device is on. ANY DPA device made after November of 2008 is required a data plan on Verizon regardless of your account or family line age.
