the Prime has a tendency to sound muffled when its dsp is working. its a little different than the JB1&2 in its noise assasin noise killer. its got an additional dsp to give some noise suppression when the nub is not placed correctly and its probably the problem.
try making sure the nub is JUST making constant contact but not pressing. it can take several tries to get it right but once acclimated to proper fit it'll amaze you at what it blocks other than wind.they could blow up a building nearby and the person you talking to wont hear a thing. i use mine at work and some machine noises go well above 130 decibel bursts and the engineers im working with hear nothing and get flustered that i ask them to repeat due to not hearing me. they dont believe its machine noise because they dont hear it
