2. Did VZW spend money to train their CS and Support reps for the TP2?
3. Did VZW spend money on marketing for the TP2?
4. Did VZW sell out of the their stock of TP2s very quickly?
All of those questions can be unquestionably answered with a "yes" which leads to the last question:
5. Does VZW want to make money?
Obvioulsy the answer to the last one is also a "yes." Therefore it is impossible to believe that VZW will EOL the TP2 this quickly. There is no way that they could have even made their money back yet on R&D, training and marketing. Therefore you can not even for a minute think that they are going to do away with the TP2. They need it. Otherwise the accounting person in charge of their ROI decisions will most certainly be looking for another job.
Remember, Big Red is just like any other company in the world, just looking for more Big Green.

on the one hand I agree with this rationale...but then again if these phones are going to only last about 6 months...with htc to release a new handset (and you know they will by MWC), it could be vzw is prepping for that too...that is a very large possibility especially considering microsoft wants to release windows phone 7 by spring
an impossibility? I would definitely think so...
