I did the WM 6.1 upgrade sucessfully. I used qpst to load the settings from the phone BEFORE i did the upgade and saved them to a file. After upgrading, I went back into qpst and loaded the file I saved onto the phone. This put all of my metro settings back in place. The phone works, texts work, but when I try to change the internet settings, it keeps reverting back to Sprint's settings, even if I delete them. I went in and changed the following file names: windows\iota.exe to iotaOLD.exe and window\iotaconf.txt to iotaconfOLD.txt. Then I changed the folder name: programfiles\IOTA to programfiles\IOTAOLD. Then I went into the connection settings and setup a new connection for metropcs. Followed all of the metro web settings,
yournumber@mymetropcs.com, metro, set all of the proxies, etc.
When I originally programmed the phone for metro, this is what I did to get the internet to work. Is this just something with 6.1? It doesn't matter what order I do this in, it recreates the iota.exe and iotaconf.txt files and recreates the Sprint internet settings and defaults to it. What am I missing?
