Speculation is that yes, Verizon and AT&T wouldn't get it first since they've already invested in the TD2 and don't want competing phones in their portfolios. Don't think it has anything to do with contracts with HTC.
I hope the reason that Sprint has been silent on the TD2 is because they're planning on the HD2. But, who knows?
