Out of curiosity, where is the evidence for this? Seems counter-intuitive since it is the hardware that draws electricity.

Enabling hardware video acceleration in addition to the CPU I would think would draw more power, not less.

I also doubt this Verizon/driver story. Will ask around Tues in NYC.
